Registration Policies for In-Person Classes
STUDENT COMMITMENT CONTRACT

This document outlines the terms of participation for students enrolled in programs offered by Camila Teaching Language Academy, a private institution located in Ontario, Canada. By registering for the course, the student acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted the stated policies.
1. OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION
All official communication must be conducted exclusively via email.

Response time: up to 48 business hours.
2. MATERIALS AND ADMINISTRATION
Copies provided by the teacher are included in the monthly fee.
Physical books and special materials may have an additional cost.
All letters or certificates requested will incur an administrative fee.
3. ATTENDANCE AND ABSENCES
A minimum of 80% attendance is required to receive a certificate.
Arrivals more than 15 minutes late are considered absences (unless previously justified).
Absences must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance to attempt rescheduling.
One makeup class per month if notice is given on time.
Unjustified absences = missed class with no rescheduling or refund.
All justifications must be sent via email.
4. BREAKS, TRANSFERS, AND PAYMENTS
Breaks are allowed only for verified reasons (health/emergency), up to 2 months.
Credits are valid for a maximum of 3 months.
No refunds are issued after payment.
Transfers are permitted if requested before the next billing cycle.
All recurring payments are processed on the 1st day of each month.
Students starting after the 10th will pay a pro-rated amount.
The academy determines the student’s level.
Subscriptions with a commitment period (e.g., 6 months) are binding. If canceled early, the student must pay a penalty equivalent to one additional monthly fee.
Deposits made to secure a spot in any class or program are strictly non-refundable, as they are used to reserve the space and cover administrative costs.
5. CONTACT WITH TEACHERS
It is forbidden to exchange personal contact information between students and teachers.
All communication must go through official institutional channels.
External contact is considered a conflict of interest.
6. SCHEDULES AND GROUPS
Schedule changes are not guaranteed.
A minimum of 7 students and a maximum of 18 students per group is required. If the minimum is not met, the group may be merged or canceled.
Teachers may change at any time at the sole discretion of the academy. The academy does not guarantee that one teacher will remain exclusively with a group or student.
7. EVALUATIONS AND CERTIFICATES
A minimum score of 60% is required to advance in the program.
Evaluations are scheduled by the teacher and results are given in the next class.
The academy determines the student’s appropriate level.
Certificates issued are for participation and completion only and are not valid for official or academic purposes.
8. BEHAVIOR AND RESPECT
No disrespect or discrimination will be tolerated.
Cell phone use is restricted to class-related purposes only.
9. CIRCULAR CURRICULUM
We follow a circular curriculum model where students join ongoing classes.
Students must complete 96 instructional hours to move to the next level.
Our teaching approach follows the Cambridge method of teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) and aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Repetition and reviews are essential in language learning and may occur frequently.
10. CLEANLINESS AND CLASSROOM SPACE
Keep the classroom clean and organized.
Dispose of garbage and recycling properly.
11. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CONDUCT
All customer service issues must be sent via email to contact@camilateaching.com and will be treated individually, as each student has a different contract and learning needs.
We do not handle customer service cases in groups.
Any harassment, abuse, or disrespect toward our staff, facilities, or digital platforms (including social media) will not be tolerated and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Valid under Ontario law for private institutions.
Any unpaid amounts, including penalties, fees, deposits, or services provided, will be subject to collection efforts. The academy reserves the right to pursue recovery through a third-party collection agency and/or file a claim with the Small Claims Court of Ontario. Non-payment may also affect the student’s credit score if outstanding debts persist.
